Dr. Kelly Torrisi

Education

Dr. Kelly completed her Bachelors degree in Animal Science from Washington State University, then went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Washington State University in 2007. She completed an internship focusing in reproduction (theriogenology) at Oklahoma State University. She later completed a second internship at San Luis Rey Equine Hospital in Bonsall California in Medicine and surgery. She practiced in northern California for a few more years before settling into the Auburn area and working for Dr. Larry Goss at Animal Medical Center Large Animal Services for 5 years before he retired and sold the practice to Dr. Kelly. She is excited to continue the excellent quality of care for the horses and clients in the Auburn area foothills.

Hobbies

Dr. Kelly enjoys horse back riding, she has shown in Pony club as a young adult then has since rejoined Horsemasters (adult Pony Club- Gold Country Pony Club). She has ridden most disciplines and respects them all and has found her joy in 3-Day Eventing. She also enjoys crochet and ballroom dancing with her husband.

Pets

Dr. Kelly has had some incredible horses over her time as a horsewoman. Currently she is leasing horses til she finds that special one in the future. She also has 2 cute cats, Amelia Earhart and Marie Curie at home.

Dr. Anne Williams

Education

Dr. Anne attended UC Davis for undergraduate and obtained a BS in Animal Science with an emphasis in equine industry. After a year of gutting homes in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina she returned to UC Davis. During vet school she tracked Large Animal, and in 2011 she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her first employment was an internship during the foaling season at a Thoroughbred breeding farm in New Zealand. After returning to the States she moved north to Alaska where she continued to practice equine medicine and gained an appreciation of the California sun. Eventually she moved to the Auburn area and has been loving practicing in the foothills with wonderful clients and patients. In early 2018, she has added chiropractic services to her many talents

Hobbies

Current hobbies involve raising her two young daughters. Pre-child hobbies included running. hiking, back packing, singing, and of course, horse back riding. She has competed in upper level Dressage and goes trail riding any chance she has.

Pets

Beau is the reason Dr. Anne went to Vet school. He is an elderly Holsteiner/TB mix that Dr. Anne broke and trained to Fourth Level. His extreme parrot mouth inspired her love of equine dentistry. Her other pets are Coco, a Rhodesian Ridegeback and running partner extraordinaire, and a cat named Maya. She also has chickens and Guinea Hens.

Monday through Friday you’ll find me in the office rushing the doctors out the door. In my free time I’m a wife, mother, and artist. I don’t have horses now (hopefully that will change soon) but have had them in the past

Pets

Besides my human family, I share my home with 1 husky, 4 cats, 4 blue & gold macaws and 1 mini Illiger’s macaw.

Dr. Allison Williard

Education

Dr. Allison completed her Bachelors degree in Animal Science from the University of Georgia in 2012, then stayed to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2016. She completed a rotating equine medicine/surgery/ambulatory internship at Tennessee Equine Hospital in Thompsons Station, TN in 2017. She is very excited to start her career in the Auburn area, having never lived outside of the southeast until now!

Hobbies

Dr. Allison enjoys spending time outside in whatever way possible: running, hiking, biking, camping- you name it! She ran her first ever half marathon this past April in downtown Nashville and plans to continue training for more in the future. She also enjoys riding whenever she can. Prior to veterinary school, she rode hunter/jumpers in Georgia, but currently enjoys a more laid-back life of trail riding. She is also very passionate about Georgia football (two of her dogs have UGA-themed names) and can be found watching football almost every Saturday during the fall.

Pets

Dr. Allison has three dogs– Sanford and Walker, two male corgi mixes, and Fiona, a black lab/Bernese Mountain dog mix. These three stooges keep life interesting and make great hiking buddies! However, Sanford is the only one patient enough to endure a long run. She also has a yearling paint filly named Arrow that she adopted during her internship

When Bryttany is not in the office answering phones, she is hanging out with her son, watching Dr. Kelly’s baby, cutting and coloring the Doctor’s and staff’s hair or at the barn.

Pets

Bryttany had 1 dog, Kylie and is hoping to be able to lease a horse very soon!

Caitlin Lighthouse

Hobbies

When not working at the barn or assisting the Auburn Equine Doctors, Caitlin enjoys sailing, scuba diving, sewing sock monkeys and gardening. She also enjoys riding whenever she can. Caitlin has competed in the upper levels in both Three Day Eventing and Jumpers.

Pets

Caitlin has two large dogs, a goldendoodle named Lemonade and a labradoodle named Breakfast (named after the tea). She does not currently have any horses (has had many in the past) but is looking to change that in the next year.
